Which heating plate material is better?


Now everyone uses some heating products in winter. There are many types of heating materials on the market, such as carbon fiber, carbon crystal, graphene, ceramics, etc. Should the heating material choose carbon fiber or carbon crystal? Which heating material is better? Carbon fiber heating tube and carbon crystal heating plate, which is more practical?

1. Which heating material is good?​​

There are two main heating materials, one is traditional alloy wire metal material, and the other is non-metal emerging materials such as graphene, carbon fiber, and carbon crystal. Compared with traditional metal materials, emerging materials such as graphene, carbon fiber, and carbon crystal have the characteristics of higher comfort, environmental protection, safety, energy saving, and higher thermal conversion rate. However, because it is a new material, the market for carbon fiber, graphene, carbon crystal floor heating or heaters is still not mature enough, and there are many publicity stunts.

Carbon crystals, graphene, and carbon fibers are all carbon materials. But strictly speaking, there is no such thing as a carbon crystal. There is no such material as carbon crystal in official documents, only carbon fiber. So carbon crystal is just a gimmick of the merchants. Now, carbon crystal refers to a substance composed of carbon particles. There is also a saying that carbon fiber is composed of carbon crystals, and carbon fiber is a reinforced carbon crystal. Compared with carbon fiber, carbon crystal composed of carbon particles has better stability, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, safety in use and comfort than carbon fiber. In 2010, the extractor of graphene won the Nobel Prize that year, so graphene materials have been hyped up in recent years. As a high-performance material, graphene is indeed very good, such as high indoor comfort, not as dry and stuffy as traditional floor heating; high heat transfer rate, power saving and energy saving; long service life and so on. Graphene can be likened to an upgraded version of carbon fiber.

However, the current graphene extraction technology is not mature, resulting in high production cost of graphene. Therefore, most of the graphene heating products on the market are gimmicks, not real graphene, and even some heating products such as heating plates with the name of graphene are actually carbon crystal materials. However, in the early years, the carbon crystal material was not made, so it was renamed graphene.

2. How to choose carbon fiber, carbon crystal and graphene heating products?

If you plan to install floor heating, water heating is recommended for large houses; if electric floor heating can be used in small-sized houses, mature carbon fiber floor heating sheets or traditional heating plates should be preferred for electric floor heating.

If you buy electric heaters and electric floor mats, the properties of carbon fiber, carbon crystal and graphene promoted by the business should be similar. However, it is recommended to choose heaters with more mature technologies such as pct ceramic heating plate electric heaters and electric oil heaters.

In general, among the three materials of graphene, carbon crystal and carbon fiber, carbon fiber is a relatively mature heating material, but the current domestic carbon fiber heating technology, heating plate and other products are not very mature, relatively speaking, the market And the future is bright.
